MetLife Investment Management

As a part of an ongoing engagement with MetLife, the Investment side had come to us with an ask to revamp their current site experience. Displaying the type of content they have is a challenge in itself, besides the fact that the entire back end was getting build and updated by two people and an excel document. Our goal for them was to make this a more seamless process and if they update and AUM for one index strategy, then it would update across the site anywhere it is mentioned.

Problems that came up were around the organization of content. Within a given strategy, there was a lot of information to highlight. The solution was designing a list view that accounted for all of the fields, while making only a few variations to make it most efficient in development.

I went about this project with the system in mind from day one. I was ‘the glue’ based on my knowledge of the client and previous work streams for MetLife that I was involved in. I knew the developers and had to make sure we were taking advantage of components already designed or making sure we were being the most efficient as we could be.

Process - Define to Design

I created all zoning, mini wires and wireframes. This came after the define phase in which I worked closely with an Experience Strategist to define what will be getting designed. I created all wireframe states and variations before handing off to design. Post wireframe handoff I was there to assist visual design in whatever needs came up.
